  We have been three times to Julian's restaurant, and increasingly like it.
  Firstly - you get a genuinely friendly welcome as you step into the modest but pretty room.
  I love the use of real linen (pretty white and blue tablecloths remind me of the Mediterranean) and good cutlery. That says to me that this is an establishment that takes care; so - what about the food?
  
  The food, like the decor, is unpretentious but of very good quality and beautifully cooked and finished with flair. Julian has a good understanding of the importance of colour on your plate to get the taste buds going. The wines we've had have been pretty good, too!
  
  We may well visit other places, especially on our travels, but Julian's is fast becoming our 'local', and a very good place to take our guests, because it is reliable.
